Even G2 Brown 2 looks like an update for people who wear them all day

Even Realities announced Brown 2, polarized clips, and a chain on October 26, 2026. Read from the Business Wire release: a story about color and outdoor wear for the Even G2 I use every day.

Even G2 has a new tortoiseshell-inspired color. A Business Wire release dated October 26 reports Brown 2, a polarized clip, and a chain.

Even G2 was my first pair. There is no camera; the display sits on everyday glasses. What I took from this announcement is a story about color, and about how you wear them outside. I have not worn a Brown 2 pair yet.

The announcement stresses a tortoiseshell that runs deeper than a surface finish

In the Business Wire release, Even Realities says Brown 2 carries the tortoiseshell layers through the material rather than as a surface coating. It comes in both Frame A and Frame B. The release also says each frame is shaped, pressed, tumbled, and polished for 20 hours, so the pattern varies slightly from pair to pair.

Even Realities Brings Classic Tortoiseshell Design to Smart Glasses with New Even G2 Brown 2

The same release calls Brown 2 the lightest Even G2 so far. It does not give a weight in grams. The current G2 job stays: no camera, with translation, notifications, and a teleprompter in view.

U.S. prices in the release are $649 for Brown 2, $149 for the polarized clip, and $79 for the chain. Yen prices are not in that dollar list.

The polarized clip is the part for days you step outside

The release describes Even G2 Clip (Polarized) as silver-gray polarized lenses that cut glare from roads and water and block 100% of UVA and UVB. There are versions for Frame A and Frame B. It is positioned for bright commutes and time outdoors.

If you wear them every day, this is the part that seems useful right after the color. Indoor notifications are already covered by the G2 I have. Outside, I would like to cut the glare without taking them off. I have not tried this clip, so I do not know how the view actually looks. It is still a part I want.

The chain looks like a tool for people who take the glasses off

The release describes Even G2 Chain as stainless steel with a sandblasted gunmetal finish, something to keep around your neck while the glasses are off.

My own use is closer to putting them on in the morning and returning them to the case at night. For someone who takes them off and on many times a day, the chain is the more direct answer. People who leave them on their face, and people who wear them only when needed, will want different accessories. I want to look at the color and the clip first.

I still want to check the Japan price against the official listing, and the actual weight of Brown 2 in hand, as separate questions.
